It refers to the manner in which many of the works on display appear and disappear depending on the specific light and the position of the viewer. The exhibition focuses on the objectual perception of the works on display. Pieces that look like blank sheets of paper at first glance, but that closer up reveal geometric figures obtained by simply folding or punching the paper. Translucent sculptures with different degrees of intensity, notably architectural, featured on transport boxes as a base. The subtleness of gesture taken to the extreme. Their works challenge perceptual habits, either through social constraints or innate customs, and emphasise how our senses grasp them or react to them at an intellectual or physical level. AVPD are heavily influenced by aesthetics related to science fiction and the first computer shooting games taking place in 3D virtual environments. The group mainly works with space and the way we perceive it and interact with it.

The members of AVPDare AslakVibækand PeterDøssing,both born in Denmark in 1974, where they currently live and work. They graduated in Fine Arts at the RoyalDanish Academyof FineArtsinCopenhagen(2003). Their works have been displayed at MUSAC (León,Spain),SsamzieSpace(Seoul,Korea),LucianaBrito Galeria(SaoPaulo,Brazil),GaleriaLeme (SaoPaulo,Brazil),KunstenMuseumof ModernArt(Aalborg,Denmark), Trapholt(Kolding,Denmark), IkonGallery (Birmingham, UK), FACT (Liverpool, UK), Europalia (Brussels, Belgium), CalousteGulbenkianFoundation(Lisbon,Portugal),amongst others.AVPD's works are part of international public and private collections. In addition, the group has received several awards and acknowledgments, such as theArt, DesignandArchitecture Prize2012by theVeraHansenFoundationand the grant awarded byArken MuseumofModern Art (2012). In2015 they obtained a 3-year grant from theDanishArtsFoundation.

As part of their artistic practice, AVPDcollaborate with architectural projects and the commissions of theSkagen SkipperSchool, OdenseHarbour Bathand Hammershus VisitorCentre.They also give lessons and talks at architecture schools, art schools and universities.They are also guest lecturers at the KADKRoyalDanishAcademyofFineArtsSchoolsofArchitecture, Designand Conservation(DK)and at the Facultyof Humanitiesat the Universityof Copenhagen.
