Galería Pelaires is taking part for the first time in the Art Düsseldorf fair with a selection of recent works by Jorinde Voigt, Ana Laura Aláez, Prudencio Irazábal, Gori Mora, Oliver Osborne, Alain Urrutia and Inês Zenha. The fair is set to take place from 11 to 14 April, featuring a total of 105 galleries from all over the world, including 43 newcomers.
"We have been closely following the evolution of the fair since 2017. This year we decided to join because we consider Art Düsseldorf to be an ideal platform to show the work of the artists we represent (both the younger ones and the ones with a longer career) and to connect with new collectors," explainedthe gallery's director Frederic Pinya. "The fact that 40 percent of the galleries are new is quite symptomatic. It is a fair that has raised its game over the years, which makes us optimistic," he added.
At the Galería Pelaires stand (H01), visitors will find recent works by a selection of artists who are part of both the recent and future programme of the gallery. The pieces include two oil paintings on linen by Oliver Osborne (Edinburgh, 1985); an oil painting on methacrylate by Gori Mora (Porreres, Mallorca, 1982); two large-size works and one small-size work on paper by the German female artist Jorinde Voigt (Frankfurt, Germany, 1977); three small oil paintings by Alain Urrutia (Bilbao, 1981); three three-dimensional pieces by Ana Laura Aláez (Bilbao, 1964); two canvases by Prudencio Irazábal (Puentelarrá, Álava, 1954); and a three-work series on paper, an oversize canvas and two ceramics by Inês Zenha (Lisbon, 1995).
