On the occasion of the new edition of Art Palma Brunch, Galería Pelaires presents three solo projects across three of its exhibition spaces. The opening will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and the exhibitions will remain on view until the end of May.
-Markus Oehlen - Recent Paintings. GROUND FLOOR
On the ground floor, visitors can see the exhibition by Markus Oehlen, marking the artist's first exhibition at the Galería Pelaires. The German artist, who lives and works in Munich, is a founding member of the Junge Wilde movement. His work combines gestural painting, geometric structures, and a strong musical influence.
Since the 1980s, he has developed an experimental practice that spans painting, sculpture, and sound, maintaining a critical and independent stance toward dominant artistic trends.
In Recent Paintings, the artist brings together a selection of recent works.

-Regina Giménez - Es pic, sa falda i es peu. MAIN FLOOR
On the main floor, the exhibition Es pic, sa falda i es peu by Regina Giménez is presented. The artist is known for her geometric abstraction based on scientific illustrations from old schoolbooks that she finds in bookshops and flea markets. She decontextualizes images and diagrams—originally created to explain phenomena such as the movement of the planets, ocean currents, or the formation of mountains—to generate new visual interpretations.
With a well-established international career, Giménez has exhibited in institutions such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona. Her work is part of important public and private collections.

-Tomás Pizá - Lo que el agua deja. PELAIRES CABINET
At Pelaires Cabinet, the exhibition Lo que el agua deja by Tomás Pizá is presented. A Mallorcan painter and architect, his practice lies at the intersection of painting and architecture. His work explores the relationships between landscape, territory, and memory, addressing both urban environments and natural landscapes, as well as the transformations introduced by human activity.
